Our Firm specializes in personal injury cases and maritime personal injury cases including work injuries to longshore workers, seamen, shipyard workers, truckers, railroad workers and others employed in the Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbor. Legacy of Success
Our law firm has been representing the injured and their families for over 40 years. Thomas Pierry Sr. began representing injured workers and their families in Wilmington, California in 1968. In 1971 he became a partner in the law firm of Magana, Cathcart, McCarthy and Pierry, out of which Pierry & McAdams, LLP evolved. James McAdams (1946-2020) joined Thomas Pierry Sr. in Wilmington in 1976 and during his career handled more claims under the Longshore Act, State of California Labor Codes and Civil Courts than virtually any other lawyer in California.
Thomas Pierry III was admitted to the California Bar in 1987 and has specialized in personal injury litigation and workers compensation claims throughout his career. In 2006 he and James McAdams moved the firm to San Pedro where he continues to represent injured workers and their families.

OUR TEAM
Thomas J. Pierry III,
Attorney at Law
Mr. Pierry graduated Cum Laude from University of Washington with a B.A. in History, and attended USC law school. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1987. He has specialized in personal injury litigation and workers compensation cases throughout his career. In 1995 he successfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in the case of a longshore woman, resulting in new, favorable law for injured longshore workers. He appeared before the United States Supreme Court in both 1995 and 1997 in the Rambo Case. In 1997 he presented the oral argument before the Justices which resulted in a new favorable law for longshore workers.
He and his father, Thomas J. Pierry Sr., tried a case in Federal Court involving an injured worker who became a paraplegic which resulted in a $10,000,000.00 verdict. He has obtained dozens of settlements and/or verdicts over a million dollars and continues to specialize in personal injury cases including automobile accident cases, longshore injuries involving serious personal injury, hearing loss and wrongful death.
